Preview of my full Varis'd Evo
badass car. the people with all the "rice" statements are idiots. i think it's retarded when people see something that they don't like, or understand then call it rice. function over fashion.
somebody commented on the use of carbon parts on the car. that trunk saved at least 12-14lbs over stock, and unless you have a varis hood, you don't know if he saved weight or not. not all carbon hoods are heavier than stock. it depends on the way the hood is made, and the style of the hood. my seibon OEM carbon hood is almost a pound lighter than stock, and there are others much lighter. if you get into dry carbon, you could have a hood that weighs 1/4th what the stock one weighs.
as for the kit, it is completely functional. aerodynamics are extremely important in road racing. if it wasn't, every race car in the world would look just like it did when it rolled off the showroom floor. every race car in the world has some form of body kit, wing, canards, or something else you morons that don't race would call rice. just because you're too stupid to understand what it does, doesn't mean it's rice.
one guy said something about just lowering a car, putting wheels on it, or something like that. THAT's rice. lowering a car just for looks is rice. that's a useless modification, and can actually make the car handle worse if you don't know what you're doing. this guy's car is being built to be better than stock. that's not rice. that's just better than your car, so get over it.
you idiots should do some research before you start an arguement you're not ready to back up.

Can you blame them?

I think the reason he's getting "rice" comments is because everyone knows he didn't put the Varis kit on the car to get every advantage possible on the track. I've pointed this out earlier in the thread, he has a 2.0/gt40, and drilled rotors. This is not a track car, it's a show car. Some people think over the top body kits for the sake of looks and nothing else is "rice"
Can you blame them?
