I have CF shield. But before I got it 1/2 of my bumper was yellow from the exhaust. I was able to clean it all with a Clay Bar. Bought it for $14 @ Strauss. Everything came off. Awesome product

I know it might be bad but I used nail polish remover which is like alcohol crazy but it took it right off with just 1 swipes and I rinsed it completely off afterwards and added a stainless heat shield.

^Do Not Use Nail Polish Remover!!

I have an Apex Silver Evo 8 and have the same problem staining the bumper area surrounding the exhaust tip. The easiest way for me to clean it off was to use a dab of wax, let it dry and watch it all go away....never had a problem using this method. Barely any elbow grease required.

Aznfballer79,

Do not use nail polish remover. It's not just "might be bad", it is really bad. Nail polish remover is diluted acetone which will remove your finish and you paint as well. Stay away from it. If don't have anything else, use rubbing alcohol. The isopropyl alcohol will work well for cleaning, but will not attack your paint like the acetone.

Try using turtle wax stain removal rubbing compound. It works wonders on my LY, should be fine on the WW also

Use step 1 of meguiar's 3 step crystal system or whatever it is called now. Step one is cleaner that come in a bottle. It works great for stuff like this.

Alot of the stuff ya'll are mentioning tax the wax off. More so than regular washing to ensure that you put on some wax or detailer afterwards. The grease lightning I use is about the same. They said it was clear coat safe, but I'm sure it will remove wax faster than regular washings. Just something to keep in mind.

I use a clear coat safe bug & tar remover, Works great. I just leave it on for 5 minutes then wash the whole car and it removes all of it.

i have found that if it is frozen in snow it comes off easily so either wait for it to snow or hold a couple ice cubes to it.haha

in the future, any car wax should whipe it right off, if you cant get it by hand, use an orbital to get it off. if that doesnt work, try some car clay and then wax it. any of those concentrated cleaners, purple power, orange blast, greased lightning, etc. is safe on your paint, however if you leave the orange blast for instance on too long, it will turn your paint orange in some spots.
