f'en A....I must be color blind.

I was there when it was installed...

I even was under there yesterday when I was taking off the tow hook cover while my car was being towed off the track.

You're not blind, just a typical unobservant dude!

It's all good.

Did you have to modify the greddy TI exhaust for it to fit that well with the JDM IX rear bumper? Sorry if this has been covered previously but, looks like a great combo. Doesn't stick out much at all

Yeah I was gonna say looks almost as if that JDM IX rear was designed perfectly for that Greddy Ti!!!

I didn't modify the bumper or the exhaust. I've heard of a few people running the same combo and having issues with the bumper touching to the left of the exhaust cutout. Mine does the same thing. The diffuser just barely touches the very edge of the muffler canister. I've learned to let it go. I decided not to trim it and I've been keeping my eye on it to make sure it doesn't melt. It's been fine so far. The bumper's been on since January. There is a local guy here in Vegas (lil'evil evo) that has the same combo with no issues what so ever. All in all, I'd say the GReddy Ti with the jdm rear is a good fit.

You have to keep in mind that since it's a jdm bumper, it's much shorter … or I should say doesn't stick out as much as the USDM. So in a lot of cases, jdm exhausts will compliment the jdm bumper well. If you're running an exhaust that's designed to clear the US bumper, it'll stick out too far with the jdm rear and you may want to shorten it to make it look right. Hope that helps.

You may find this thread helpful, too … All exhausts that fit JDM IX rear?

Take the thread with a grain of salt. It doesn't take into effect different downpipe/test pipe/catback combinations.

It might be more informative from the perspective if you run a turboback from all the same manufacturer.

For my case, I had to have the axleback cut down in order for the muffler cannister NOT to rub against the diffuser.

On the other hand, another Evo owner here has the Greddy TI as well w/o any adjustments (don't know the test pipe/downpipe combination however).

I think it's the safest to say if your exhaust is on the short end on the stock bumper, it will probably fit MUCH better on the JDM IX rear.

Check out also the pics here https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=217784 pic 3, close up with Greddy Ti. And WhatNoise got it right, it works perfectly with JDM exhausts. I got TurboXS dp, race-cat, then greddy Ti ;-)
