In the pic that claims it's the JDM version, how would you know it wasnt a JDM bar......the thickness of the beam's profile height is a little thinner than the US version. So the pic is really not helping. you cant tell the thickness between the two...

If you get hit low speed and it does enough damage to crumple the support for the trunk, The body shop most likely will cut out the whole rear section and replace with new sheetmetal from factory, depending on if you choose a good repair shop, or bad one.

Obviously the US crash beam is critically important, since the streets of Europe and Asia run red with the blood of dead EVO drivers, since they don't have the aforementioned Miracle Crash Beam.

Maybe since you know what the possible scenarios are and the fact that you have created a lower margin of safety for yourself, you can use this mod to slow down on the roads increasing the life span of the average evo owner?
It would also help with insurance premiums!

I agree the jdm look of the bumper looks real good but what do you guys think of the apr rear diffuser made for the usdm bumper. I am planning on going that route instead.

can the insurance guy really tell the difference between the usdm crash beam or the jdm one? i mean, arent they only different by a couple inches at most? and if ur car's rear ended, all the parts will be deformed, hard for him/her to tell, right?
