It appears you lack it though since green on silver is not subtle at all, nor does it have any sort of flow to it.

Reference of Complementary Colors:

Typically the block next to the complementary color will look bad with the original color is a rule of thumb.
Question... if you can only do the colors that are directly across the spectrum on your color wheel... then would'nt what the OP's color decision be spot on since on your wheel, the red is directly across from the lighter green, which seems to look like his wheels and his brembos?

Wow, this thread is getting crazy. I never thought what I did to my car would have people arguing about color spectrums and what not.

I really like it,,,, but if I were to do this,

I would make one wheel Green, one Blue, one Orange, and the other one Yellow.

I like to really stand out in the crowd.

Then if I felt like getting really crazy i would take the spare out and paint it Purple w/ lime green lip.

If you aren't color blind the green you are looking at is Seafoam green, pretty much a bastardized mix of baby blue and light green.

I am not arguing, I am simply proving that you have no taste in color at all.

SO if he added a little blue hue to his green wheels, you would approve of his wheels since it agrees with your color chart?

You're right, as someone with a 4 year degree in Graphic Design and an AA in Automotive Design, who works in the industry, I should forget everything and go with your "only pick colors which are across from each other on a color wheel" pre-school explanation of color theory.

I will be writing a letter to those idiots up in Seattle who were in charge of the identity redesign of the Seahawks and inform them of their error in choosing greens and silvers. Likewise I shall let everyone with a green car know that their vehicles would look MUCH better with maroon wheels, rather than silver.

While green wheels, or wheels of any color, aren't most people's cup of tea, you can't deny the fact that silver is a neutral and will NEVER clash with any saturated color. Try leaving personal opinion out of technical discussions next time, so you won't sound so stupid.

1. The color that they are now is not Takata green. It is more avocado than lime (least from the pics I am seeing).

2. Green Wheels + Red brakes has a definite missiletoe look going on.

3. Doing your own thing to be original is not justification for any course of action. Jeffery Dahmer was just doing his own thing and so was Hitler. Doing your own thing to be original can still be a bad choice.

4. JDM hawtness was Work Emotions, not repainted Emotions.

5. Something original would be to strip them to bare metal and then polish them.
