HOW TO: DETAIL your Evolution...Concours Style!
Interim post on taping off your car...
I'm sure Mitch's post will be much more thorough and will probably have a lot more blue but this is sort of the idea...
Did this as soon as I picked it up from the dealership... Unfortunately, people like Mitch who care about your car's paint don't work at concord Mitsubishi.

This was a while ago... probably should re-detail again.... *runs off to detail car*

Haha that's great! I don't tape over the trunk and hood gaps, I I pressure wash after polishing to get any and all dush out of those crevices. Nothing "ruins" a detial job more than some dried up whiet polisha dna PERFECTLY polished car.
You guys have inspired me to once again continue this thing....well winter break is coming up and I may just be able to sit down and do it for a little bit...UGH I hate you guys...you have NO idea how long this stuff takes

Hehe. Yeah. When I was taping off my car some guy asked if I was putting it into storage.
Mitch, if I had the money, I'd be more than happy to help you with your project. I'm in college as well and I certainly have the time available. Let me know if there is anything I can help with.
Meguiar's, Poorboy, Menzerna... all used and agree are great products.
I don't know if you mentioned this or not, perhaps indirectly in a later post but if there was a prior detail job how do you recommend removing it? I've heard vinegar works (although smells for a while), I personally have just used mild dish soap like Dawn.
