Mitch how often should I clay bar if my car is kept fairly clean?...once or twice a year?

How often would you use AIO?...If I use NXT once a month would you recommend using AIO before each application of the NXT?

Thanks again!

Claybar maybe twice a year if your car is garage kept, but sitll sees a decent amount of outside time. You can also "spot clay" the car when you have concentrated build up of paint contamination.

With the AIO, it should help the NXT bond with the paint better, so I would do AIO every 2-3 months...no need after every wax application.

Your welcome!

AIO I do before NXT...how come you said no need to AIO after every wax? I thought it was a cleaner/prewax all in one deal then you apply NXT over it...

Because it will hold onto the paint a lot longer than the NXT...one application will last 2-3 NXT apps. I'm not stopping you from doing it everyday though .

Sorry I'm confused but you said on an earlier post you said I could use AIO then top with NXT...now you are saying NXT topped with AIO or don't even bother with NXT?

No no, I mean the NXT topping the AIO; AIO is your base.

Depends whats otc for you, some people can find Collinite otc. Others have to stick with Mothers/Meguiars. Can't really go wrong with NXT, just doesn't last long. With regular washing I had to reapply it every 2 weeks. Honestly sometimes it just pays to order some good stuff.

dang Mitch it must be super late over there...btw what do you think about meguiars new synthetic sealant? It's called "Meguiar's Mirror Glaze Professional Synthetic Sealant 21". Do you have any experience with it? and if so, is this applied under a wax? or is it a wax? Thanks, awesome thread

The 21 is a sealant, it would go under a wax. Lasts longer then a wax since its synthetic and it would have trouble bonding if a wax was under it.

It seems like it would be a sealant, but here

http://www.autopia-carcare.com/meg-m-2116.html

they call it "Meguiar's BEST car wax!"

Yeah its the same with NXT, they call it tech wax but when it says synthetic polymers its a sealant.
