Hot water and dawn; let them soak, then rub/squeeze the pads by hand to get all the polish/wax out/off.

You need a better polish. Poorboy's SSR 2.5 will probably do the trick...if not, Meguiar's Scratch-X.

PM me for some polishes...I'll "hook you up" .

Has anyone here bought the Guru Reports Car Wax Comparison Test report?

http://www.gurureports.org/specialre...waxtest.3.html

They tested 46 products including Klasse, Souveran, Zymol, Griot's Garage, and Collinite, as well as lot's of mainstream stuff like Mothers and Meguiars and rated them for durability, ease-of-use, availability, and overall performance. Just wondering if it's worth the $10.

Hey Mitch, from one advid detailer to another, i like your work and your write-up. Seems like you know what your doing which is good to see (with all the "i think i can detailers" out there!)

I had a questions for you though, how do you like those meguiars poads you have in those pictures and also do you have there backing plate?? Just wondering cause i was planning on ordering a punch of stuff and i just got a new makita, (i hated my dewalt) Thanx for the info...

P.S. If you have the meguairs backing plate...is it a 7 in?! And also how do you like the Optimum Polishes...

Thanx again,
Kenny

The meguiar's pads are AWESOME; I just bought a bunch of them (25 to be exact ) to last me this summer since I'll have tons of polishing to do.

I use them with an exceldetail.com backing plate, 5 inches I believe.

I don't have a meg's backing plate because I'm against stiff ones since I think they cna do more harm than good.

The optimum line is awesome. Long working time and no dust makes me a happy camper. I've got extra bottles of the whole line if you're interested, most of them are more than 3/4 full.

PM me.

Thanks Tripp! You make it sound like I'm a detailing products website ...I wish.

I do have more polishes available for people to grab from me; tried and tested by the one and only!
