I don't have a meg's backing plate because I'm against stiff ones since I think they cna do more harm than good.

The optimum line is awesome. Long working time and no dust makes me a happy camper. I've got extra bottles of the whole line if you're interested, most of them are more than 3/4 full.

PM me.
Thanks for the input man, Im def gonna order some Optimum stuff as well as those meguiars pads! I def like the no powder from them! Cause i see you use Poorboys as well as i do, and theyt are awesoem except for the powder up soooo bad! Anyway thanx again for the input!!

P.S. I just detailed a Volvo S80 and Acura MDX today, i'll try and post some pics up later on

Mitch:
on how new a paint or car do you still clay?
Is that a step you can skip on brand new cars, unless you see deposits, spots, etc., even after washing?

Unless it's a domestic do NOT skip it. Your car was transported on a rail bed, hence it has rail dust on it. Add to that, it took 3 months to ship over here...LOTS of time for stuff to deposit onto the paint. Claying will get that off.

Well I'm not a "registered vendor", so the thread would be closed immediately. I can respect the rules and had no intention of making any gain from this except having a good feeling that people appreciate my time spent on this.

Alas, many locals have still PMed and I will reply .

So I ran out of Meguir's Gold Class car shampoo the other day. Don't get me wrong, I like the product BUT I want to see what else is out there. Any recommendations?
