This is exactly whats happens when the finger oils are left on the glass of the bulb.
The glass gets super sonic hot where the oils were as they burned off melting the glass into the seen shapes as they cooled and hardend into the new designer....signiture series bulbs...lol.

Guys....dont touch the bulbs with your fingers. Use some type of medical grade glove with no oils.....u can use a alcohol swab to clean off when installing. Once turned on with oil contamination, bulbs will have a very short life.

I've had these bulbs in my car for ~7 months with frequent use, and I haven't experienced anything like this.

The only bad thing I personally have to say about the Nokyas is that they're HOT bulbs. I've cut down on using them becuase I can see ripples from where they look like they're melting the headlight lens a little bit.

It doesn't have anything to do with what brand they are. 80 watts is too hot.

even though you may have not "touched" the bulbs, did you clean them with some rubbing alcohol prior to installing them?? you cannot confirm that they were not touched prior to the bulbs being put in the box....

Yeah, don't grab the bulbs with your fingers or else you'll get that effect.
