I started to notice white spots on my carbon fiber wing (stock)... i thought maybe i just need to wash and wax it!! but no..it didnt go away!!
anyone else have this on the wing!! if so, anyone know how to fix it!???

well to give you a hand, if you search for that topic there are tons of posts on it, apparently mitsu didn't clear coat the wing properly or something like that... also cf fades in heavy sun if you don't maintain it...

 

Does it feel like something on the surface? If it's something on the clearcoat you can try a clay bar.

I have an Evo VIII spoiler that I just re-cleared and those spots just appeared a month after I did the work... Very odd to say the least. It wasn't like that before I did the repair work, minus there was no clear coat...LOL.

 

I brought mine to body shop and have them apply multiple layers of clear coat and now it looks like new. It cost like around $120

 

get it wet sanded and recleared

 

figured as much!! damn!! just another thing to fix on the evo!! oh well..

Hey when i was in the dealer ship today i saw an 03 VIII with it... The dealer manager told me that the car was in to have it fixed.... Under WARRANTY... of all things... you might want to check it out.... but i think it was only up to 36k on that part of the warranty
