In my paint shop I only use 3M pads (white and black), the white pads are for using compound and the blacks are used for polishing. I use 3M perfect it compounds and 3M glazes, also you can get a 3M wool pad as well.(wool pads are only for compound) You will also need the velcro wheel attachment for your buffer so you can use the white and black pads.

Also keep in mind I am a painter and NOT a detailer. Your best bet is to check out Mitchubishi's thread on detailing or talk to him, I have seen alot of detailers and for a 17 yr old kid(no offensive mitch) he knows more then ANY "detailers" I have seen in my 12 years working in a paint shop. Good luck and please be careful when you attempt to buff anything on your ride, or you will be calling someone like me with tears in your eyes cause your finish is screwed all to hell. Be patient and take your time. Good luck bro

Josh

I just saw the autopia site and was very impressed as well....a lot of good information....

The nice thing about the griots stuff is that it is one stop shopping -- buffer, pads, clays, polishes, waxes, etc...
