IX front emblem

For those who have removed the front emblem on their IX, did you have to remove the bumper to do this?

no, but you have to remove the black things on the top to be able to squeeze your hand in there. Then you just have to get a shorty philips head to unscrew it and it pops right off the bracket.

Yes, there is a few (3) holes that are left behind. On colors like WW and AS you wont notice it as much but with my TB it looked cheap so I put it back on there. The best "badgeless" look is when using the c-west bumper IMO

Does anyone have any pics of their car without the badge on a IX? I have been thinking about doing that but I haven't been able to find any pics online of someone who has done this...

Thanks,

Joe

^^ I agree. Get some fine sandpaper and paint that bad boy! That's what I did and I think it looks great. I can post some pics later if anyone wants to see it.

Ok, my car is filthy right now... snow storm last week, but she'll get cleaned tomorrow.

This was pretty easy to do, just sand the emblems until there is no shiny chrome left then I put 4 coats of the black paint and topped it off with 3 coats of the matte finish to give it the flat black look. I put the rear emblem back on with 3M double-sided molding tape.

Here's the pics of my painted emblems:

Rear Emblem -

Is it difficult to crush sign rear and frontbumper? I think, that it's good to crush of the badge completely...
