Because sometimes its not all about trying to fit the widest tire know to man. Sometimes its about how a car looks.

looks good but with an ofset that low wont you have to run a lot of negative camber so the tire does not hit the fender when you hit a bump on the road

not worth all the work to run 245s
with the "big ugly" body kits you are able to run a 275 in that wheel set up
which is 30mm more and the voltex wide front and rear fenders
look much better then that dent in your rear 1/4 panel

You can actually run 18x9.5 RPF1's with 275 or 285's without a widebody kit. It just takes the right offset and some decent neg. camber.
The pics look good. I like the looks of the 18" RPF1's but I don't agree with putting such a small tire on them. If it is a track car like you say than it should have some 275/35's or 285/30's on it

Wow.........that looks really good. My only concern would be that the rear fender might get dented or bent, when pulling on it.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the 245 on a 9.5" wide wheel either. If you're going to have your wheel stick out that far outside the wheel well, might as well have your tire wider and have that stick out as well. Or I would recommend just going with an 8.5" or 9" wide wheel with a 255 wide tire and still achieve the wide tire look but without the wheel sticking out so much.
