I was wondering what tint % I should go with... 20% or 35% for my WW evo. I had 35% in front and 20% in back for my old 350z, but it felt like that fronts were too light. I've seen evos with 20%s and 35%s tints, but different angles made the tint look lighter or darker than it really was so I can't really tell.

I was wondering what % I should go with for a WW evo. I live in SoCal btw.

15% all around, i had limo on my eclipse and it was too dark at night. coudnt see when i was backing up.

15% is perfect, not to dark but u cant see anything inside at night.

 

I vote for 15% also. I got 20% on mine and wish it was a little darker.

 

Ahhh ha ha ha. I have 20%, and it is illegal here, but all I do is roll the windows down if it is overcast and I get near the five oh. On bright sun shiny days, it doesn't look too dark.

I miss the old no tint law days in this state. Sort yourself with some 5% limo on the sides and back, then get 35% platinum for the windshield. Your isht will be impenetrable. And at first glance, because of the color, your windshield won't look tinted.

That's how I used to roll back in the day.

 

I'm in your same situation...right now I have it tinted 5% in the back and 35% in the front. I want to have the front redone to 15% and possibly get a 6" sun strip on the windshield...

 

Hmm, I see. I guess I'll go with 20% or 25% all around I'm going to California Tint for you guys that live in the 626 area code tomorrow, hope it isn't too crowded.

just got my first ticket in 27 years for tinted windows (Orlando Fl.) 28% is what the "LAW" says is legal.

mine is 3% all around

 

i have 55% and it looks great..
if u dont like dark tints..

20% in back and 35% up front sounds good.

I did 5% (limo) in back and 20% up front myself! Illegal, but looks good.

Btw, I had 5% all around on another car - it was dangerous at night, I couldn't see out the sides!
