Painting Metal Hood Vent / Mesh

The black paint is wearing off on the hood vents.. What type of paint should I use to repaint it black? Will regular old hi-temp black spray paint from a hardware store work? Can this be used on the bumper mesh / etc as well? Let me know thanx.

That is what I used and it still looked good after a year and a half.

I would imagine that's what you'd want to use since the heat coming out of the hood may affect regular paint. I think the most important part would be the prep work. Get all the old paint off, if there's any left, and make sure the metal in nice and clean before you paint...that should ensure the new paint sticks and lasts for a while.

Good Luck with the project.
