Yeah,I've actually seen that car in person and it is every bit as clean as it is in those pics

 

buddy of mine used to have one a few years back, with only a bov, 3 inch piping and possibly a cone filter, and the boost turned up abit he was running way strong. thats a classic in my book.

 

As you can see thats one car I'm ok with I love it enough to build one which is what I've been doing for the last 26 months ., and after 26 months I can asure you it will not be slow

a bone stock merkur only made only made 178hp......
with a 2.3l....
no intercooler.....
3 years before this car came out. lol

You can make those engines run 7 and 8 seconds. They have a bunch of cars in P.R. making those times. Car look very nice!!

I'd love to see someone tune one for drift.... I've seen a few with a 4g63t swap.... I love them, but the gauges, and interior is so dated...
