Hot Evos!! in Manila...pt.2 More hotness!
I saw a Ferrari F50 back then. Where is this place at? I know a bunch of people with JDM-out cars that meet at Greenhills at San Juan. I wouldnt be surprised if one of the Enrile's has an Enzo, doesnt he have a Mc Laren F1?
Btw, with all those Exotics... where the hell do they drive these cars? The streets in manila are as bad as the moon... craters everywhere!

MY GOD!!!!!!!!!! its like a paradise over there, that tommi makinen is by far BAD ****ING ***. i wish my old school Gran turismo i believe 2 or 3 worked, and buying all the evos.
I do beleive that Enrile's son does have a McLaren F1 and he does have the Ferrari F50.
We do have some nice streets here, but not as nice as there in the US. Sky way is where we go if we went to see how fast the cars can go.

Emperor Motorsports always over charges their items. To give you a idea, you can order from the US, have it shipped, and still save.
I met the owner of Orange Performance one time at the Petron Station along SLEX. Good guy to talk to. They came back from a sunday run and a evo 7 GTA was with him at the time.

Don't know who Vince Go is, but if he owns that Evo 5 then he's got one hot car!
That's interesting to know about Emperor's. I would hope they won't be too expensive. I'm planning to check out their shop when I go back, and hopefully bring some good stuff back.
I think the Orange shop owner is Miguel(?). Very cool guy. I'm guessing that GT-A might be his. He had a JDM STi at the shop also. I asked which one he prefers.. the Evo or the STi and he said he liked the JDM STi cause it feels better to him and it revs higher, about 8000 rpms stock, than the Evos. Maybe next time, I'll try to ask about testing it out.
Hey Evo900, have you topped out your Evo over there on the Skyway?

EvOsix, I do think that sometimes Emperor does over charge sometimes. I have also done some estimate on getting the parts from the US and just shipping it over to Manila.
Probelm is, what if the parts don't fit when it gets here?
The US spec Evo sometimes have small different things on the cars compared to the cars that we get from here. I guess rims and other generic parts will be okay to buy.
I know that my cat is different from the US version Evo9. Anyway, I think you will be able to save a small amount if you buy the parts from the US and have them shipped here to Manila. Emperor can usually get the part in 2 weeks from when you order instead of waiting for a whole month before you get the parts from the US. The waiting is the hard part. hehehe....
If you can wait then I'd say get the parts from the US, if not then Emperor is the other option. Other option is to just fly to HongKong and get the parts from there or have the parts shipped over from HongKong to Manila. I think that's where all the parts in Manila come from anyway.
Another good thing with Emperor is that he usually has stocks of the items in his shop. He ins't like the other shops that just advertise the items and not have them in stock. Some parts that Emperor have is not avaailable in the US. If you do want those parts, then you will have to go through Hiro and Eric or other resellers that will take 4-9 weeks to get. Then wait another month to get the parts to arrive here in Manila.
I'm not taking any sides here as I also get my car done at Orange performance and Emperor Motorsports.
From what I know, Miguel and Dominic are partners at Orange Performance. Miguel used to own the white EVo7 GTA, but sold it to get the black Evo 7 that's in the pictures. The guys at Orange know what they are doing. Both Dominic and Miguel are awesome guys! Anyone in the forums here who plan to visit Manila should drop by their shop.

rsboy, nope, haven't had a chance to top out my car yet. Too lazy to wake up and join the fun drives.
I forgot to mention that the NLEX or North Luzon express way is also very nice. That is a long strech of high way that you can really hit top speeds for a long time. Only problem is that cops have radar guns there now.

I wouldn't say it realtes to anything "cultural" unless I'm totally wrong...But I was thinking it was because of Initial D.
Mitsubishi is very big in the PI, I think they had all the Evolutions since the old Lancer rally cars. But because of taxes/tariifs some people choose to buy grey market cause they get to choose what they want and get a better deal than the dealers.
RSboy: Kelan ka nandito? Mukhang sulit ang stay mo ah! Anyway, I dont know kung naabutan mo ang funrun nila Hespie. They convoy with 3 Murcies, F430s, GT3s, Carrera GT, etc etc. Check the car sighting threads at Autoindustriya.com forums (Talkboard)
