Awesome... sound like a great deal!Originally Posted by rawandbruteEVO
Yeah! Evo 5 is everyone's favorite. There was a poll at AI and around 70% of the people voted the Evo 5 as their favorite. Problem only with that car is that the gearing is low. Stock vs stock, an Evo 7 can easily beat a 5 at NLEX or the Skyway, well of course BRC also since AYC and ACD really helps. Going to Tagaytay on winding rounds, the 5 will beat the 7, again of course due to low gear ratios. In terms of looks, theres no question that the 5 will win.

Yeah the Evo 5 gearing for me wouldn't be too much of a problem. I'd like to feel the difference between the 8 and earlier Evos, as far as driving feel and all that. The track we go to here, Grattan, doesn't have long straights, so I can imagine how great the gear ratios of the Evo 5 would be on there.
Some friends told me I should have asked to drive most of the cars I saw.
I told them I would have loved too. But maybe next time, I'll ask pretty please.
I mean it's not like I haven't driven a Porsche 911 Turbo.... in Gran Turismo.

For tuning, we have Autoplus, Creative Speed, Autotechnika, Orange Performance, Matonetics, etc. Actually, there are numerous Evo tuners here and they know the cars even from the old school Evos to the present.Originally Posted by Bolshoi125

Yes they are also available at the dealerships. Evo 9 RS Euro-spec is the one being sold now.

its more expensive here becase of our stupid tax laws. but despite it being expensive, people still find ways to bring them in, especially the older gen evos. im not sure if it makes a difference too in the price tag, but the Evo 9 we get are Euro versions, complete with ACD and SAYC.Originally Posted by Bolshoi125
