Hey all...been gone for a while. My Seibon CF hood has let me down. The clear seems good to go, I just took the clay bar to it. But it looks a little yellow. Almost like a carbon/kevlar weave. Any idea on how to reverse this or am I stuck? Should I junk the Seibon and get something else?

get it wetsanded and recleared that will solve it .. hapens to any carbon fiber and ususallu the clear coat that come with the hoods arnt to good either

 

happened to my seibon hood as well. It sits in the sun all day which sucks... re-clear it is I guess the way to do it as was said.

 

no mattter wat especially in the miami sun its gonna happen and wen u do reclear it make sure u get several coats and some good clear coat to so it can bring ut the shine

 

thanks all...Kind of blah about this since I am a little **** about my car. Well...I guess if I get a new JDM rear bumper, I can get the hood re-cleared

some re clearing should be cool.

 

i had the same thing happen to my VIS hood on my honda accord. all it needed was a good wetsand and reclear. i'm getting the seibon hood on my EVO recleared soon too.
