CF Gauge Pod--Anyone tried this one?
Found this poking around on eBay...anybody tried this? Wondering about fitment and quality.
I am looking to go Double DIN in the future, and I really don't like a-pillar set-ups (my own taste/hang-up...not hating on them), so I am looking for alternatives. Don't like the look of the RexSpeeds, either (again my taste, not hating...)

see with any sort of gauge other than defi im not sure how that would work, like i know with my prosports there is going to be more than one tiny wire that comes out the back...
You could wire loom the wires inside the gauge housing, and then have 1 wire come out of the housing.. But I agree not a fan of the housings without the visors.. My .02

And yes, your Rexspeed pod is very nicely installed.
just not feeling it. Too bad too as it is a well constructed piece, priced well.Maybe I can find a thread with the Defi hood installed to get an idea of how it would look.
I thought about the Defi hood but it costs WAY too much and you have to drill into your dash to use it. There are some pics of it in the interior setup thread at the top of show & shine I believe.

I'm with you there!
That's kinda why I was eyeballing this one.
I may just go completely custom...find a used dash pad, mold a nice looking gauge pod (haven't played with fiberglass for a couple of years now...) and cover it with the flocking they use in Grp.N rally cars.
...Or cut a hole in the top of the dash (I ain't skeered) so a pod sits more flush in the dash like the Suby one does...Dunno right now. May go out to the garage and stare at it a while.
Now where did I put all that extra time...
