+1, how much was it? Was looking at FMIC's today.. and $700+ just isn't in the budget for a single mod..

Hey guys thanks for the feedbacks. I'll try to answer your questions.

-I got it from ebay through "intercooler" search under ebay motors
-I did not do any mods on my crash beam
-I paid $150 plus shipping, bought the reducers from pepboys (3" to 2.5" to fit the piping). and I cut one of the old upper intercooler rubber couplers (45 degree bend) and attached it to the reducer using a adpter pipe I had laying around.
-I used alluminum brackets to keep the FMIC in place from Home Depot. Get the thick ones, harder to bend but it hold it in place. The FMIC has two bolt holes on the top and bottom (10mm) to use for the brackets.
-It don't know the brand name and part number.
-I did not do a pressure test but I ran it really hard on both cars.

and those canards are also from ebay! hope this helps guys!

It looks the same but it wasn't from SSautochrome and no I didn't modify the crash beam, it clears it pretty good.

any shots of the custom connector from intercooler to uicp...i just did a custom intercooler install too...i just used 3in-2.5 reducers but wished they made a humped 45 degree 3-2.5 coupler and a 4in 3-2.5 straight reducer to cover up the gaps on the intercooler pipes...but i had the same 2lbs drop on the gauge...i did not log it but the boost gauge did change...give or take +-2 lbs...even though a gauge is not that accurate there is a change in the setup!!!
i used the 31x12x3 bar and plate core btw...

I almost bought that core but settle on the 3.75 core because my front bumper would require extensive cutting. My bumper don't have as much room as the stock one does.

Are you sure this core is 4 inch thick? My bet is its 3". I have never seen the apex style core in a 4" variety. The biggest I have seen is the 24 x12 x 3. Yoour statement that it clears the bumper beam pretty easily is also indicative that it is a 3" core. maybe you could actually measure it.
