Universal FMIC

Just wanted to share pix of my universal FMIC, the fitment is pretty good. The dimensions are 32" from end to end, 11.5" tall and 3.5 (end tanks) 3" core. Inlet and outlets are 3" I.D. I used the injen upper icp and a upgraded licp. Minor mod is needed for the injen pipe to fit.

I used my supra for R&D and I got a 2 psi drop using the two gauge method. I tapped one of my gauge on the turbo outlet and the other in the intake manifold, the difference are about 2 psi. I constantly run 18 psi on it...no leaks, weld looks good and so far the Hawaiian rain hasn't put any rust on the luster since I installed it in Nov.

I run the same identical fmic on the evo. I boost at 22 psi with a lil tapper close to redline. I think the universal FMIC is bigger than the stock but I dont feel any lag either. Although the only way to find out if I gained any HP is on the dyno.

I'm not advertising universal fmic but I just wanted to share that some of them are actually pretty good in fitment, looks ok and with a little research you can get them cheap on the net.

Old FMIC, I always wondered why the inlet and outlet do not run horizontally.

The width and thickness are pretty beefy. The only fitment modding was to the UICP? No other issues? Any inlet fin shots? Hopefully I'll get to check it out more at the meet.

I'm running the Stock Turbo and just BPU...last time I dynoed it at Silverstate Motorsport in NV I came up with 300 HP to the wheels with 404 ft lbs of tq on 91 octane at 2100 ft elevation.
