grill is fine. i took out the emblem and that bar mount, i had to use different ****, it took a while but its basically sawed clean off through the back. grill is mounted to the sides and bumper so no effects on stability.

doesnt the bar mount support the center of the grill? how stable is it there?

do you have any close up pictures of the area where the emblem mount bar used to be?

the bar mount does support the center of the grill. HOWEVER it is connected to the grill in two spots. imagine looking birds eye view under the hood- the bar forms a y-shape connected to the bumper then the grill... then it comes back together as one peice and goes straight down the center of the grill supporting the emblem, i cut the second part. so there is still metal grounding from the grill to the bumper...its just further back behind the grill itself where it is not visible unless the bumper is removed. ill try to get a picture tomorrow of more detail. but do you understand what i mean?

Why didn't you just paint the emblem glossy black? I'm just curious.
