Any pics of the tire profile from the side??
1. I like the staggered setup, I think it looks nice, dosen't seem THAT over the top like some suggest..

2. Is the reason for 10W over 9.5W to get additional tire stretch giving more fender clearence??I would think you can get the same or close to the same effect with a 9.5 and have better (more vertical)sidewall profile..Then again, I can't really tell from the pics.

3. What other tires are compatible with this type of fittment?? KDW's are not my cup of tea, mabye something alittle stickier??

I think the package looks great, althouth I would have personally have chosen a different wheel, but it's all personal prefrence..Props to you guys..

Here is what a few people said, so far I see very sticky. I guess you could say quieter!
I know there are a couple of stickier tires out there but these are in no way touring tires.

I bought these tires off a friend who said they were too much for him (and his wittle wrx). I was in need of a set of performance tires for my new project car. When I first drove on them I immediately noticed that they were made for performance, not comfort. Daily drivers beware...these tires are brutal. If you have a beast of a car then the extra tire noise will be music to your ears; otherwise they might cause you to drop you cell phone and spill your tall decaf mocha latte on your posh leather butt-warming interior. They hook up unbelieveably well, and once they warm up it feels as though you could drive up a wall! I run my car very hard; street, back roads, autocross & drag. I was so impressed that I got this much grip from almost a stock size tire (225/45-17). I've had some big wide meaty tires that wouldn't corner nearly as stable. I frequently increase the heart rate of my passengers when I dive into corners at twice the posted speed, and "forget to slow down" for traffic circles without so much as a chirp from the tires. These tires are not for the faint of heart, they mean business! I would reccommend them to someone with a high performance vehicle that pushes every conventional limit. Gas mileage champs and super-lux marshmallows need not apply.

i love these tires for the incredible performance that they deliver so well. but its a trade off on wither i want another set or not -- they're great for performance in every way, but they are very, VERY loud, esp. the older they get. on long road trips after they heat up, the tire roar is just deafing, and after living with these for well over 30,000 miles now, i'm starting to get tired of the noise. if your going to use these on a car that you dont drive everyday, i'm sure you'll love them. but if its on your daily driver, you might get tired of them after a few months. i would be willing to trade off just a little bit of performance if i could get rid of that noise -- i will likely go back to a more traditional BFG g-force TA

Awesome wet weather tire. Couldn't have asked for more. Hangs onto the road on curves, now I don't feel like I am going to lose control.

I have put over 12000 miles on these tires in the rear, size 275/35zr19. I have had no issues with noise on these tires, but I have the alignment set up not to eat the tires up badly. After about 12000 miles I have only used about 2/32" of tread and they are worn evenly, so they can be long lasting. They do have great traction but they do need to warm up. I have been very skeptical in the past with BFG tires but I have overall very satisfied with these tires and am very likely to purchase again. People, keep in mind that most performance cars eat the tires up unevenly and will cause the tires to be noisy. Get them aligned by someone that knows what they are doing when the tires are brand new.

I drive a 2003 Porsche 911. I have gotten good tread life and it handles very well in the rain. However, the "NOISE" is too much for me. It was not bad in the beginning but as time goes on it has proven to be to much for me to hear!

I got 18" 225/40 in the front and 265/35 on the rear. Thats as wide as you can go on the S2K and the handling is just awesome. Handles exceptionally well on wet surfaces as well.

This was defenitley the best peformance tire that I have ever ran. They were great in all aspects when it comes to peformance. It didnt matter if it was dry or wet, these still peformed. But these were a bit loud for my tastes. On the highway the howl from the tires was very loud and almost discomforting. If your looking for a ultra high peformance tire for your weekend driver, or track car, then this tire I would recommend for the price. If this is for your daily driver I would stay away from these.

I've driven over 29k on a set of these and have nothing but good things to say. The tire is a little noisier than the factory run-flats, but is vastly superior in every other way. Awesome dry and wet traction.

With a treadwear rating of 300, they most certainly are just a noisy touring tire with an agressive looking tread pattern, no matter how they are marketed..And yes, I am aware how the treadwear rating system works..Theese tires were made to look cool, last awhile, and work well under most driving conditions in that order..It is not a summer tire, you can throw them on anything from a civic to an escalade with dub deuces..
Now back on topic, I am not trying to hate or anything but I am guessing theese were reccomended because of the soft sidewalls in order to stretch out??Any pics of the side profile of the tire??

Actually the tires are considered an extreme performance, or maxium performance tire. Just a step down from a competition tire. The wet performance is just a plus!

As far as the side profile of the tire on the wheel, I will work on that give me a few days, maybe a pic off the car of just the wheel & tire

^ not true ... the extra 1/2" adds more lip

same exact wheel in same offset and same pad face will be less lip.

they will never understand... its simple geometry.

longer cylinder length = bigger surface area = bigger lip
