i have an 03 tarmac black evo, and i want to get it painted to a white. i think im going to go with pearl white. i was wondering if anyone knows how much it would cost to have the car painted. i know that shops give different quotes, but have any1 gotten their car painted. i need to know, please help

no i want white. i hate tb, it is a ***** to keep clean.

 

to do the whole car will be probably in the 4 or 5 grand for a decent job, its a whole lot of work to do it right

 

i think it would be like 500-1000 depending if you know the shop, But you can just take a key and key your car to a point where you cant fix it and then get your insurance to pay for it, then its free lmao.. thats what my brother did to my eclipse back then i got 1800 check back for it. hehe.

you are better off trading you car in for a WW if thats what you want. if you paint your car a different color ..it will really decrease the value of it down the road. there are only a finite number of evo 8 and 9's in the U.S. think down the road in twenty years..they might have a collector following to something like that of the GTO... or challenger .

 

you cant even buy the amterials you would need to change a whole car to pearl white for 500 to 1000, then add up all the labor , but what do i know i havent been painting cars for 9 years.

 

Nah i know the shop, the guy was my friend. did the whole car for 1000 strip my engine and everything. for my eclipse back then its a Wicked white pearl.

 

i have a tb , it is hard to keep up with it but ,if u could just at lease wash it once in a week ,u should be good . tb is the nice day and night !

I dont think I could key my own car, even if i did get some money out of it.

 

im also in the process of getting my 240sx vert project car painted, and let me tell you nowadays bodywork alone can go for almost a grand or more and depending on the color and what shop and what kind of paint you want it will run pretty damn pricey.
