IX MR SE Detail

Just finished my first ever detail on my IX MR SE.

Basic Steps
Wash
Clay
Menzerna Intensive Polish
3M Fine Cut #9
Menzerna Final Polish
Menzerna FMJ
P21S

Sorry no before pics I was excited to get started! It still looked decent in the shade, but under sun or intense light it was painful. Lots of swirls, scratches and spider webbing. I fixed that! Enjoy!

Trunk Outside

Lots of work but way worth it! Paint is smooth as glass and washing/drying is a breeze since the water beads right off.

looks really awesome! I just put a layer of klasse on mine today with my porter cable 7424, followed by a layer of P21S. Did you do all your work by hand?

No, I used a 7424 as well. No way I would have gotten any results by hand. The paint was atrocious before! Wax was by hand though.

dude the 7424 is a life saver, i used to have a bunch of paint swirls and cobb webbing too and with the 7242 + sonus cutting pad + sonus swirl buster polish it basically turned into glass

What did you do your black trim with? Mine is in grave need of some serious detailing attention. My little nephew that it would be nice to try to help me wax mine last time I was detailing it and he unwittingly waxed my trim :-( He's not even 7 yet so I can't hold it against him. But I need a fix! The parts he hit with the wax look like crap!
