Funny, the last time I had to have a head milled because of it being warped due to overheating I got it back the same day I took it to the machine shop. Even a machine shop that is slammed can get a head milled and turned around in just a couple of days. The actual milling process takes less than an hour on the machine.

Oh well, life is full of opinions on a variety of topics. Unfortunately for some, the opinions of others can actually be fact. Too bad that said fact doesn't become apparent until a period of time has passed. Tis why they say that hindsight is 20/20. The problem with hindsight is that by the time you have finally come to the proper conclusion you are out a ton of money on something that doesn't satisfy you. But hey, we all have to learn some how. Some just prefer to bang their heads into the wall more than others.

Cem, I think the wheels look good. So many people here are very quick to put down what isn't familiar and typical. Your car really stands out from the masses of Evos with Volks, Rays, etc.

As far as the random VIP bashing, it's really tiresome. Let's see what the car does on the dyno and then go from there.

Who cares how long it takes as long as the customer is happy. Some people want it done ASAP and others dont really care as long as they are happy with the end product.

Trying stay nuetral as much as possible.

Who in their right mind would rather wait 4 months than have it done in a week or two like most normal shops could do? Even if the customer owns a DD and doesn't NEED the Evo, why wouldn't they want it back? It doesn't have to be ASAP. 2 months is plenty of time. I think I could put together and install a turbo kit in 2 months.

I waited a couple months to get a manifold coated. Stuff happens to everyone sometimes I guess.

Congrats Cem...how'd the tuning go?

What does that mean? His car still isn't done after more than 4 months. Are you trying to tell me he is in his right mind for not being frustrated and angry after waiting this long? What is your point?

Yep...he is one of those guys that not press for time on his car as long it is done to his specification. They had his turbo-kit ready to install months before they actually started. He was having fun tuning his car and such.

He also had his clutch replaced and took forever to properly break it in...since he only drives like 10-20 miles a week.

Yep. Sounds familier. I know people like that. Including me.

As far as the vip bashing goes, when someone actually gets away with harming you, your family, your friends, and your livelyhood, then come in here crying about it being tiresome. Ignorance is not an excuse to speak about a subject that doesn't concern you.
Now back to your nut riding thread. The rest of this e thug **** will be dealt with in time.
You hit it dead on. This is my thread. Not VIPs. When you come on and insult me, my ride, or my friends (that includes Martin and his pocket), then you open a whole new can of trouble. In any case, we'll all meet soon enough.

Just talk? I seem to remember a certain couple of SCCA T2 Evos winning races and another Evo destroying the field in both NASA Time Trials and SCCA autocrosses. That's a lot more than "talk."

Of course, they could take a customer's car (version_2_beta) with an extremely expensive build and drive it for the customer (version_2_beta, since he has no experience) in Time Trial events against no competition and then talk about how great the times were (despite being the highest-classed car in the event - of course you're fastest). I guess that would be a better way to prove themselves?

Planet EVO you ever going to say who you are or hide behind your keyboard? yeah i worked at best buy when i was 18-19. Don't see a problem with it. I'm sure other people here work at Best Buy or a similar company. I learned a lot there. made descent money and moved on to a better job so i don't see what you seem to keep poking at there.
