The APPARENTLY infamous Evo vs. C6 Vette SHOT..
i love self deprecating humor. its funny cause all of these issues are true, i hear them all the time from the evo camp, myself included. so i had to laugh pretty loud when i read all the excuses coming from the evo guy.

who? have you ever seen the suspension on the vettes? it's leaf springs. and who is clarkson? i used to work at a chevy dealership, and when they announced the new vette was coming and showed the suspension diagram, and then said it had leaf springs i said then that it was garbage.
and yes, it is a widely known fact that covered wagons had leaf springs. trucks, wagons, **** like that...you don't put that kind of suspension on a sports car unless you're just too cheap to do it right.
the new vettes handle better than the older ones, but they still aren't in the same class as cars designed for cornering. american cars are built for str8 line, 0-60, 1/4 mile racing.

yes you are right about the suspension...but i was saying that corvette actually cares now...just look at the skidpad for a new Z06...i know its different than a normal corvette...but its still american

well the EVO's need better drivers. the vette may win, but there's no way it'll BURN a stock EVO IX. and for what the vette costs, it SHOULD burn a stock EVO. what's sad is you drop maybe $1000 into an EVO and it'll smoke the vette. and don't even get me started about going around a corner... the only thing the vette can do is go in a str8 line. chevy should know that leaf springs were supposed to die with the covered wagon instead of being put on their flagship sports car

I wonder though in all honesty, if either car was offered free to anyone here, I wonder which car the majority would pick? I have an Evo, but I'd sure as hell take that vette!!

What a juvenile gesture. I guess now I know what to expect when I pull up next to and EVO in my C6
