A way to make IX signals amber?

Is there any way to get pseudo MR amber turn signals for my IX tails/headlights? I really like the look of the amber turn signals, but I dont think its worth spending the money on whole new MR lights, especially when I dont have the (not so good looking) VIII chrome tails. Is it possible to take apart the tails and put in new signals?

You can add these while you're at it.

You can paint them for a few bucks. Just take them off and spray the outside of the lens. It takes about 5 minutes. I painted mine around this time last year, and have no problems.

I borrowed it from a friend. I always see that stuff at local tuner shops though. Pep boys most likely has something similar.

*edit: I thought you meant sidemarkers b/c of redevo8's reply. I have only painted my sidemarkers, so I'm not sure how this would turn out on tail/headlights.

Or you can buy the overlays from Bluebatmobile, these things fit like a glove and no trimming is necessary..
