The BIG parts are done
The big stuff is done, i just need EvoDave to have mercy on me and do my heads and tails. The canards are in the trunk, will have them on this weekend, the races at Mid-Ohio interupted my wrench time. The lip is on order, Varis full carbon like the last one. It was destroyed in a head-on collision with a Yeti cub, or wombat, or soemthing, running across the WV turnpike. Three month lead time. The wheels are waiting for me in Germany, cause i know you're all gonna say get rims. TE-37 Mag.
The bumper install took me less than two hours, in the driveway with hand tools. It has the american bumper support, with the JDM crash bar. Fits like a glove great mod, i think it looks much better. Plus the diffuser don't fit without it.
The diffuser was pretty easy, just locate and drill. The bad part is cutting it to fit your exhaust. It's such a beautiful peice you just don't want to. Hopefully the guys at Buschur don't laugh at me when they do my exhuust at the beginning of August. I did the best i could. Cutting large pieces of carbon is not easy.
Side skirts are point and shoot. They look better in person. The hood is out of control. It's the yellow/black carbon-kevlar from Varis. Incredible looking. Kind of green from a distance, optical illusion. Weighs nothing. Same with the trunk, weightless. Man you should have seen me launch that thing the first few times after i got it. Until i fixed the springs at least. I thought the whole trunk lid was gonna fly off a few times.
Vortex gen looks good, nice piece. Hopefully it does what it's supposed to while i'm screaming down the autobahn. Side pillar trim looks nice as well. Ducts in the front are mean looking, and it's actually ducted toward components, go figure.I hope you guys like the UK badge, i do a lot. I know the black on black thing can be a bit much but i think it's subtle.
I painted up the front badge and the lock on the truck, flat as well. So, lip will be soon, MR style heads and tails, and cannards. Will update this weekend. Questions, comments, and mindless flaming welcome.
Oh, big props to BulletProof. Pretty much everything i have is from them. Ben is a god, and has never told me no. I think that's good. My old lady would say otherwise....enjoy.
Thanks for listening.........

1: Mind PM'ing me the price you paid for the VII bumper?
2: HKS Kansai rear diffuser, right?
3: Sideskirt extensions, Varis or DAMD?

it's great to see an 8 with a JDM 8 bumper. those things look great, and fits the car better than the 9 bumper (probably because it was made for that car). car looks great...the only thing is that your UK badge is sitting way too high above the line in the trunk. other than that, very nice.

ty, the sides are a really cool design. They have a channel that runs the length of the car, that catches whatever air is coming from and around the tire and forces it to exit before it hits the rear tire. That's what that cutout is for. I love em. Thanks for posting.
