Man...15% is too damn much...you'll probably get a ticket for that...35% is legal in OH don't know about SoCal...they are probably more strict

Update:

Here's a link to the state laws for tinting...

back and rear winows can be any tint but front windows...man, can only be 70%

20-30. 20 is as dark as you want to go in my opinion. 20 is obviously illegal, were as 30 is still pretty dark but not nearly as obvious.

15% on back 20% on front windows FTW. Ive had that combo for 2 years and have never had a problem with the cops and the vision at night isnt bad at all.

i can't see out my driver side window at night and i'm always afraid there's going to be a little mexican baby sitting in the middle of the road.
no a problem if you drive with your window down all the time at night, but then it gets cold.
i have 22% btw on a white lancer, and no tickets ftw!

I'm running 5% all around. I like the looks of it for some reason, I'm thinking about changing it because it is a bother at night. I drive with my windows open all the time, but it's summer now, once it gets to the colder months I'm going to go with 20% all around most likely.
