Red face Backed into someone...

Yeah, so like the title says I'm an idiot and I just backed in to someone.

In 9 years of driving, this is the first time I've had an accident that was my fault, so you can bet I feel like a complete loser. Fortunately they said they wouldn't make my insurance pay for it since I barely did any damage to their car, but my rear bumpers gonna need some lovin'

Anyway, so I'm exploring my options. I haven't called my body guy yet to find out how much repainting the rear bumper will be but I have to believe it's going to cost me around $200.

I'm half way thinking about just selling the APR rear diffuser I have that I haven't even installed yet and doing something different like a JDM MR rear, but I don't know, 'cause I would lose the diffuser options that the stock bumper has, but I like the MR rear much better.

What to do what to do!

JDM looks great, but I wouldn't remove my crash beam for looks.

Glad ur ok. Now you know that you can easily get that bumper painted and unload it and the diffuser right here for enough money to get the JDM rear +or - a couple hundred bucks. So like you said... what to do what to do..... Modified crash beam or no crash beam should be your major decision

Man, my paint guy just came back and said it'd be around $400 to fix.

JDM bumpers on my car? It's more likely than you think!

If you got an estimate for $400 to repair, you might as well buy a painted JDM bumper instead.

That's kind of what I'm thinking of. I'm hoping I find a rear diffuser that will work with it. I'd love to do a Voltex but I'm not a huge fan of the styling.

JDM rear. You can have a crash beam rigged, it's been done.

Use the crash beam. Imagine if you didnt have one just now. you would have possibly also needed a trunk, lights and subframe repairs

Man I feel your pain. In owning my new MR for 2 months I have been backed into & rear ended (just scratched the bumper). None of which was my fault but it still hurts. Im not even daily driving my car anymore because I cant stand the thought of anything else happening to it. Anyways I was also quoted about $400 to get my bumper repainted. I thought about the JDM rear also but in no way will I put it on without some sort of crashbeam (not just some half *** bar that goes across either) Let me know what you find out about the rear bumper because I may go that route too if I can find something safe (never thought I would care )

Shoot me an offer. It's the FRP one. I got another guy who PMed me first, though but hasn't given me an offer yet. It's never even been unwrapped.

I'm only going to do the JDM bumper if I can sell my stock rear bumper and the diffuser, so if anyone needs a scuffed up WW rear bumper than let me know. We cleaned it up and it looks like it might be an easy fix, there's no scratches in the urethane.
