Wax.

Hey all,

I am thinking to polish my car to remove some small scratches on the car.

What is the best equipment to use for waxing car?

How about the wax itself, and where should I buy them.

Thanks.

Thank you for the replies.

Anyway I don't think I will be waxing my car anytime soon.

Seattle's weather is soo bad. Sun shine for 1 minute and the next, raining heavily + some ice..

That's PRECISELY why you need it waxed protected immediately. I've been doing a lot of work lately where the person KNEW it was going to rain next day or something....they understand that getting the paint protected right away is more important.

What is the difference between Meguiars Carnauba wax and Liquid Souveran Wax with carnauba besides the price?

Does the Mothers carnauba work well?

Big difference... the formulation is very different. Depending on which Mequiar's wax you're talking about it maybe a cleaner wax which has some polish in it to remove minor swirls/scratches. Souveran is a pure wax with no cleaners and should only be applied to cars in perfect condition.

The difference in shine and look is night and day from Meguiars or Mothers. Souveran goes on like lotion for the paint and does not leave any white residue like most premium Carnubas. Layer it for even more shine and gloss.

So, is that why it is necessary to use a sealant before applying the Souveran wax?
