Quick question then. Wouldn't it make more sense to wax the hell out of the car before getting that clear film on the front end and mirrors?

seems like it would make sense, less dirt etc between the paint and the clear film = less scratches etc. Ever see a car that had a bra on for a few years and someone pulled it off ?

Obviously the clear film fits much tighter leaving less room for dirt to get between it and the paint but hey, its your baby.

How would any dirt get between the film and the paint after it was applied or did that come out wrong?

I dunno, I've never worked with the stuff. But if it is removable (which I think is a given ) Over time it would seem to reason that it would be possible for the edges to become loose. Rain / washing / wear etc

but I guess the moral I was going for is, the cleaner the surface the better the stuff would stick.

OK got it now. How often are you supposed to get that film stuff replaced anyways? My riceboy neighbor has had some butt ugly vinyl graphics on his car for at least two years now without it coming off or peeling. I really wish it would peel off/

Im not too worried about that since I found me a guy that trains people in my area on the 3m clear bra installs. Im sure he will do a good job. Still waiting for a quote from him. If it turns out good, I'll pass on his info to ya chicago folks.
