Tell me please, what d othe fastest track EVOs do suspension wise? They don't use bolt on coilovers and sways, among other things, right?

What mythical suspension would you put on your ideal track EVO, I'm interested to hear why everything that shops and average Joe's alike have been doing to these cars to make them handle better is wrong and below you.

You're like a brokedown version of warrtalon, except most of the time he actually found a reason to talk crap before he did it. Why don't you PM him, leave your garbage comments out of their thread, and just wait for an answer?

Yes, yes he is. It's probably due to the fact that he believes that just because someone wants to race they should devote all their money to making the car a single purpose vehicle. God forbid someone wants to have a daily driven track star.

Well if you'd really like to know I will tell you.

And it's not an evo specific thing this goes for any car really, and usually people with street cars that are for occasional track use dont want to lose the little bit of comfort for the way it should be done.

Stock suspension components will rarely function properly at the lowered height necessary to promote minimum body roll so a completely redesigned front suspension at a minimum is usually in order. You can many times get away with leaving the upper stock A-arm, but sometimes both need to be changed out. We usually start with taking the projected weight of the car and using a custom coilover with the proper rate and build a lower spherical mount for the adjustable lower arms to mate with. Then a splined sway bar is what is typically used because of the adjustability. From then on out it goes on the scales and all the end links and necessary parts are made...of course after track testing some things need to be tweaked, but you get the idea

Thats the abridged version...

And in all seriousness, to the OP, sorry if it was my fault the thread got all FUBAR'd

I never said that at all, and the fact that some people take the time to go find pictures of cars ive built and posted in other forums is sad enough.

Theres nothing wrong with it if thats what you want, I think my statements were misinterpreted, very horribly misinterpreted.

It just seemed like you were taking shots at someone/a car that you knew nothing about simply because a group of people said it was race prepped and you didn't believe so. I think that a car should be done all out if you want a track car, but most people's budgets don't allow for anything like that, therefore daily drivers are a must. The way it seemed was that you were saying a car that is daily driven will never be track ready, regardless of any or all work done. The sarcasm you were throwing in didn't really help.

no, just because they were all taking up for you when they obviously had no clue about your setup...

the sad part is most of the people on this forum came from honda and nissan forums which were about as mature as a kindergarten class...so its understandable how they all seem to like an e-argument
