I'm interested, no rush required. When you're in the stage where you are pricing the parts, ect send me a PM. Thanks Chad.

Curious question: I read Racecar Engineering, and in one of their articles they talked about aero to ground clearance being optimum at 60mm. Are you by chance going to extend the length of the fins to ground, so as to close the gap? Also It seems that more fins would be inline here too.

there will be quite a few fins.... and they will extend to an "optimal" distance. We are not going to post pics of all of our little tweaks

there are two different sized strakes underneath, the quantity I will not mention.

cheers

FINALLY!! Aero that I can identify with. Thank you!! This is exciting for me. ...no chance you'll have any wind tunnel testing?.......................................... ...........j/k

My guess is between 10 and 15 strakes. Limited only by the width of the rear.

Maybe the fins will turn out like this, with every other strake being short.

Yeah, I snatched it off the Corvette site to demonstrate the diffuser. I thought it would be like, "old home week" for you though. The diffuser in 2004 went from 3 strakes to about 11 strakes in 2005. As a result it increased downforce and improved the cars driveability, and apparently reduced sensitivity to pitch, and roll too. It was also a major contributor in the overall downforce of the car. Says RE. How about some CFD? ...again thanks for you contribution!!

I have a CD full of CFD studies of underbody aero, some stuff from prodrive and a couple of lmp teams.....

we have a nice resourceful group of people to ask questions

I did follow the evolution of the corvette's rear undertray.... ACO's regs are kind of goofy on the floors, I'd be curious to see the entire flat bottom.... maybe i should sneak into pratt&miller with a little camera.

Cool, while you're busy doing that, we'll sneak into your shop with a camera as well...

Can't wait to see the finished product.

Sweet! How about any information fron the Halford RSX wind tunnel testing? The resulting front end changes showed some, simple but intersting front end changes. Specifically, in the front, of the leading edge wheel arches. They increased downforce and reduced drag too.

Are there limitations to what you can change on the car Aerodynamicly ?

I have an idea or two myself, but I'm sure you have it covered.

Cool Bro. I've got one of those as well. You've got good taste.

Now back on topic, I think you should make the rear diffuser out of wafer'd titanium...That would be bad-***! Carbon Fiber is all sorts of played out now-a-days!
