Evo vs. WRX pics

My wicked white '06 Evo IX GSR and my girlfriend's satin white pearl '07 WRX Limited:

The WRX isn't modded yet, but it'll go under the knife come spring...

In comfort and quietness...yes For being stock it handles pretty well and its decently quick, but climbing in the Evo after a drive in the WRX is still an amazing feeling! The WRX spools slower than the Evo and has no where near the power.

She wants to begin modding in the spring. We'll probably start with intake, a tune with more boost, and a drop. I bought her a Momo shift knob for Christmas and she said she wants tint for V-Day <3

Oh, I will also add that her car has the optional STI short-shifter and it feels great! Its tighter and more precise than the Evo shifter, now I just need to order her the stiffer shifter bushings.

Wish I got a white WRX. Stay away from an intake, the stocker is much like the evo's and is good for 350+hp. A TBE and a Cobb Accessport with protune would do wonders for the car.

Both sit in a heated garage, but her's does have heated seats I'd honestly rather drive the Evo 99% of the time though, and I think she feels the same about the WRX so it works out perfectly.

I was looking at the Buschur CAI not only for performance (seems to perform better than others available) , but also because she wants to be able to hear the turbo like she can on my Evo She also agrees that her car looks like a 4x4 next to the Evo and needs to be dropped.

Should do some readings over at NASIOC or talk to the local Subaru club (unless they're ricers). The general consensus I've gathered is not to bother with aftermarket intakes. If you want the turbo sound, do a snorkus delete (should be able to find a how-to over at NASIOC) and save yourself a few hundred bucks.

Thanks for the input All the local Subaru guys seem like idiots so I'll probably just stick to internet research.

I'm lucky in that regard at least, the local Mitsu club runs pretty deep with a lot of very knowledgeable people and a few good tuners. Good group of guys/girls too, I've been in it since 2000 and most of my closest friends are from the group.
