60mm vs. 52mm defi

I'm looking for some comparative pictures of the 60mm defi's in the dash (radio moved) vs. the 52mms.

I'm thinking 52mm would look better, but I would like to see both...

Defi only makes 52mm in the Blue Racers and the Link Version 2 I believe. I had the links in my old Evo and liked them, but wich Defi would make a gauge in 52mm in red. I think 52mm is a better as well cause you get more gauge pod choices.

One of my biggest concerns right now is placement of the gauges when I buy them. I cant decide on a place for them. Im going to probably get the AEM wideband, and I want that gauge in the corner of my door (where the mirror is, only on the inside of the window OBVIOUSLY lol)

It just all depends on what you want and what you want to spend. In my last Evo I had the single gauge pod on the steering colomn by AutoMeter for my boost gauge. I then bought the lower din triple pod by AutoMeter for my other three guages I had.

If and when I get a wideband, I'll put it on my steering colomn using the same gauge pod. Thats if I get gauges with peak and hold. If I do that, the boost and other two can be mounted in the lower din pod out of sight. If I want to know what boost I hit just hit the button. The higher end Defi's have a warning on them so you'll hear the beep if the boost is too high.

If your curious what the pods look like, check them out at Lancershop.com

autometer makes a 60mm pillar pod for 1, 2 and 3 gauges and gruppe-s makes a 3 gauge pod for the center console. i have the center console one right now with the BF series amber gauges (only avail in 60mm) pic:

^^^^^ Awesome guages man.

Think I'm getting either those guages or HKS cams. But when I do get guages it will definitely be those.

Is the Défi control unit necessary in order to use their gauges on Evos?

I use a Defi mechanical boost gauge so no need the control unit.
