carbon fiber door panels

i've been looking into removing my factory door panels on my ix and replacing them with sheet of carbon fiber. i haven't had any luck on finding any body that makes them as i'm really interested in getting this done.

here's an exact example of what i'm looking for.

does anybody know who might build such a panel for the evo?

thanks

you could make that yourself for about 100 bucks per side...if it's just a flat sheet that you want to make just buy the raw material and resin. make a flat sheet and cut it to size. Then sand it and clear it if necessary

with a steady supply of cardboard, wood glue, duck tape, yoohoo, a calculator, and some cheeze whiz, i could have a set ready for you in a couple months...give or take. let me know if you're interested.

I'd say your best bet if you did'nt want to make one yourself would be to get in touch with a rally shop( http://www.cascadeautosport.com/ ) and see if they can get you a quote.

I saw some for sale in the UK that look better and are much less. It was on their site, AMS i think it was. They build rally cars and stock some "cf door card/inserts" as they call it. Google them i guess, or just google "evo carbon fiber rally parts".

Hum...? Just saw some stuff that is called black fiberglass. It looked pretty much just like carbon fiber. I wonder how much stuff is made out of that and advertised as real c/f?

99% of the carbon stuff you see for our cars are all fiberglass with one layer of carbon to tickle your aesthetic fancy.
