Sorry to hear about your car...very wierd for Evo engines to just pop like that under minimal strain.

Very interested to know more about your rollcage install as well as the Kognition Design Carbon Kevlar front diffuser...never heard of Kognition so I'm wondering if its similar to the APR splitter or something. My diffuser is pretty trashed so its up fpr replacement soon too. Pics and info on those please, (especially the cage - loks like an excellent job). I'm looking at getting caged and yours looks like a particularly nice one so I'd love to have a good look at how it fits in there - Autopower by any chance?

Not sue if the AMS brake ducting kit will clear your carbon front diffuser without alot of fiddling...I'd suggest fitting the ducting kit first to see were the hoses go and then worry about the undertray if I were you. The reason I say that is that my ducting runs below the line of the stock undertray where the hoses run under and into the wheelwells so if your undertray is designed to totally seal off the front of the car up the axles it's worth a look at how you're going to route those ducting tubes to avoid clearance issues!

Also interested to see/hear what your experiences/plans are regarding the brakes - I've had alot of trouble boiling fluids at track events and I've done the whole SS lines/PF pads/PF floating rotors/Motul fluid thing already. Some people seem to cope fine with simple upgrades but no jpy personally - curious to hear what your setup will be and how it works out. The AMS ducting kit did help things noticeably for me but I still experienced enough pedal floppiness at my last trackday (before the ducting kit was worse - pedal to the floorboards bad) that I'm currently looking at going BBK to dissipate heat even better.

All in all, a very nice build you've got going. Good selection of parts, nice mix of bling and functionality. Very similar to my own setup and usage, not to mention same colour!

Stick with her and I'm sure she will do you proud. Best of luck!

That seems like too much turbo for my goals, but worth checking out. AMS states on their website that their 3076 kit is capable of 400+ on 93 octane pump gas and 525whp with race gas. Thats where I was going to start my research.
Let me know if there is anything we can do for you. I think our 30R kit would suit you just right.

The roll bar is nothing special. It's just an Autopower 4-Point bolt-in bar powdercoated white. The Kognition splitter is a very cool piece though and the first one (mine) is almost done. Its made, just needs to be trimmed from the mold and installed. No pictures yet as it isn't finished, but trust me they will be up ASAP.

The ducting will clear the diffuser. I have everything tucked up above the bottom of the bumper.

So far I have not had really good experiences with the OEM Brembos. I have yet to try them with the ducting though. If that doesn't work, then I will be going with a BBK.

Thanks! Thats my first choice actually, not only because of your reputation and the cars I have seen you guys build, but because you are at most of the events I attend as well in case something goes wrong.

Hey, im curious on how you like the mirrors, and if you'd consider them for daily driving?

Also, curious on why you went with the BC Racing Coilovers

thanks, car looks great!

The mirrors are great. The only problem I could see with using them on a daily driver is the annoyance factor if somebody bumps into one, namely the passenger side one .

I chose BC Racing because of their willingness to work with me on creating a system that is geared towards track use. I really enjoy testing and developing new products with companies and the guys at BC are just as excited as I am. I have tried their off-the shelf version coilovers on other cars on the track and was impressed.
