It got all the grease/dirt off. All your left with, unfortunately, are the imperfections in the metal (scratches, chips, etc).

Yours came out very nice!!

i say just use soap and water. thats what keeps my TRUST Ti-R exhaust lookin super shiny and clean. i was too scared to try metal polish or whatever and after seeing how well soap and water and a good scrub worked I'm just gonnna stick to that

WD-40 and a polishing towel works great. I used dial and warm water on my ARC pieces and it took alot of the dirt off but there were still some spots that it couldn't clean so I tried WD-40 and it worked great. Took almost everything off and now all thats left is basically the impurities in the finish from use.
