Official VOLTEX Picture Thread!
Maybe because i jumped right into it and had that issue that others would not take the jump as well. Thats my only thing.. Just more of the fact people were not taking the jump with me.
Well ive been talking to the wife lady.. and have come to the conclusion that if it doesnt sell before i leave for the navy that im going to pull the motor pull the cage and battleship gray the car and have the motor fully built for my return.
OH GAWD!!! i love that color... that car will be awesome!
I will have to see what epoxy I used for sure since there is a lot but we did a test in class and the Epoxy bonded metal tabs we did in class held up to 20 tons of pressure before it broke and it was the metal that ripped the place where the bond was stayed together. We did another piece with 2 spot welds with a uni body spot welding machine and those welds broke at about 14 tons of pressure. Crazy what this epoxy can do and its strength. If you where to use a 3x3 square of this stuff on the roof of a car and attack a hook to it you could pit up the hole car. Its that strong of a BOND. Its also water proof Ya so It can be fix and put back to normal if I want to
pretty much anything is repairable Thats just stupid

Both me and Evoivgsr did it for a while, it takes a bit of courage to chop up a perfectly good Evo. You've had a chip on your shoulder ever since you heard some guys did this, it's not your car and I'm not sure why you had such a problem with it. There's lots of things we all do just for looks but it's our choice, our car.
It's like you think you're better than everybody because you had wider wheels and a voltex kit. We are all Evo enthusiasts with different goals and objectives.

No I masked it off like you did and cut about 1.5-2.5" around the top of where the wheel was. Ya we are all still just Lancers in the end
I have been contemplating getting rid of all my Voltex stuff and just doing a custom metal finished rear flare and Evo Dave front fenders with my Other parts I have
I haven't towed my Evo since its a DD anyways so there's no need, so I can't say much about that.
Pretty much, prepare to pay a lot for everything and probably end up going to the dealership for issues a couple times a year. But its a fun SUV to drive (this is coming from someone who hates big cars).
