Anyone with an Evo must read/see this at least once
Please take the time to read this whole thing (shouldn't be to long). Plus I would like all of you to put all your man crushes on AMS and Buschur aside for the moment as well. My car was getting worked on from the end of January until early April getting some
done under the hood.
We in Rochester, NY have the fortunate advantage of having Emery here with his shop Street Tuned Motorsports (http://www.streettunedmotorsports.com/) please check it out when you get the chance, if you don't see something on there just give him a shout, he is able to get pretty much anything you are looking for for an evo.
Back to the car: Emery at STM was wanting to mock up a new turbo kit for the evos that he will be able to make and sell. My car was the car it was going to be mocked up on
.
This is the engine bay before Emery started work on it:

Here is a pic after himself and his master fabricator Nick got done with it:

As you can see A LOT was done. The turbo kits can come with different things, depending on what your looking for with power.
What I went with is a TIAL v-band 35r turbo, 44mm TIAL wastegate, evo 4-6 radiator, custom made exhaust manifold, STM intake, TurboXS downpipe, all the gaskets, hardware, oil lines, anything and everything you need comes with this kit.
On the side I had Emery install Avid motor mounts, AEM EMS, uego gauge, 5-bar map, 1050cc injectors, APR headstuds, okada plasma direct coil pack.......... list goes on and on.
I got this car back a couple days ago only running 18lbs of boost and the car is insanely fast and it's not even done yet. I'm going to be giving back to Emery for the boost to be turned up to about 24-25lbs which I'm sure is something even more insane than it already is (I just can't think of the words to describe this feeling). So far this car feels like something brand new, it drives like a dream and even better than when it was stock. Driving and shifting is crazy smooth it's scary, I'm still learning everything that needs to be done and Emery is coaching me every step of the way (what is allowed to do, what isn't, what to expect, what not to expect)
Emery is a well respected guy in the evo community and also holds a record for the fastest stock block evo. So I completely trust him and from how he treats and upkeeps his own car is how he will treat yours with a very clean install of anything.
If you are in the market for some evo parts check out his website (http://www.streettunedmotorsports.com/), call him up, or IM him if you have any questions about parts or if your in the neighborhood stop on by and check out his shop.
just some other pics I'll share of the car and motor:

comments and questions welcome, If I can't answer them I'm sure Emery will have no problem answering them. Thanks for taking the time and reading this and checking it out.
