Have fun man! I hope you do well out there! I've been dying to track Pacific Raceways. One of my vendors has a Z06 that he tracks out there and says it's tons of fun.

ROFL....you realize he is taking that stuff out at the track right? I think all groups require that you have no loose objects in your car on track.

That's what the g/f is for. Bring her and have her watch your pile of stuff while you have fun

That's what I was thinking. Very little run-off there?

Well, my boner friend didn't show up to help me work on the car and take pictures. So I got way less "coverage" than I wanted to, and nothing actually on track.

I also had my camera installed for in-car footage, but the staging was so long for the run groups I would have wasted a whole tape just sitting there. My camera is mounted on the rear deck so you can't reach it from the drivers seat to start it. I'm building a harness bar with a special mount to fix that.

The track was much faster than I remember, last time I was out at this track was in my 2.5rs Subaru (110 whp ish.). All of my track time in the EVO was in Utah at MMP, or on temp courses at the Wendover airport. Mostly flat tracks, MMP was wide open with mostly sweeping corners. Pacific Raceways was really tight in the back section and surprisingly fast. The main straight was scary fast in the Evo. You shift into 5th WOT at the beginning of the straight and work through a kink and a bend with your foot to the floor on a 1/2 mile section. You can hit 145-150 mph if you have the huevos! The track outs for those kinks and bends are cements walls so that's kinda scary in 5th WOT. Tons of fun though.

I've spent most my time over the past month or so building parts to test at the track. I'd like to be able to put some metrics behind each part, so I'm trying to log data and record lap times.

I just need to put some more time into validating the parts and gathering data.

None of the aero parts flew off the car car at high speed 130+, so consider that aspect tested.
