Varis - Help from ppl with Varis Side diffusers

Hi Guys,

I just recently installed Varis side diffusers on my Evo 8 and now have an issue with jacking the car up at the front. The standard jack can't seem to do it as the diffusers sits too low. Can anyone help or let me know what they did?

Cheers!

hello mate
just place some sort of wood studs under the front tires, drive on top of them and your car is now about 1-2" higher.

yeah I tried that, the problem is the actual jack, theres no issue in fitting the jack under the car. Issue is when u start to wind it up to lift the car up, even before it touches the under body where the jack sits, the jack is already hitting the wind deflectors on the kit.

jack the car up from the front. Or get bigger pieces of wood like DRAGHICI mentioned. Are you waiting for someone to give you a magic answer for this? haha

hahaha, waiting for someone to tell me they found a special jack that will do the trick hehe, wishful thinking, but looks like I may have to shave the wind deflectors underneath if there's no other solution

I just use a piece of wood like people have suggested, northen tool does make
some super low profile jacks though here is an example:

I know exactly what you are talking about. My jack is REALLY low and slides under my Voltex sideskirts, but the mounting point is just way too high. I have tried wood blocks and even driving my car on wood blocks but the jack still hits the outside of the sideskirt. I have to remove the bumper everytime and jack it up from the front. There's got to be a better way.

Thx for the replies guys, as mentioned its not that the jack won't slide under the car, its the mount points. Even though Varis left a hole for the standard jack, it still won't fit. I will take a pic but Krayzeviet sounds like he has the same issue.

Put a peace of wood on the jack. That way jack will lift the car sooner before it hits the side skirt.

^^Yeah, just use a couple of pieces of wood to get it close to the mounting points. Have the pieces of wood slight smaller then the hole so it will fit. Slide the jack under first, then go under and start stacking them.
