Just built a new evo sub around the demensions of the trunk. Got 1.7 cubic feet out of it. The box is reinforced mdf with braces. 12" pyle is cheap and effective hits hard and very tight in a sealed box...

I would love to load the evo up with subs. Don't want to weigh it down though. Now I've got three boxes and 8 subs collecting dust in my basement.

 

No way around the weight... This box was made from day one to be removable for track days!!! Got to fab a harness to make easy clean removal possible...

 

A bit of advice....find a way to keep it in place while it's in your trunk! It will move around, trust me!

 

You can say that again, Mine moved all the time. I have now fixed it thank god.

 

1. Make box to fit snug within the wheel wells.
2. Put stiff side of velcro on box bottom
3. The box will not move when driving and will be removable with ease.
