Just Installed: Do-Luck Carbon Fiber Trunk WINGLESS! 56K death (Plus Trust Ti-R)

Looks awesome, but I have to wonder, how much weight is saved over a standard trunk lid? Did you get a chance to weigh the two?
I haven't bothered looking at CD hoods and trunk lids because my stockers weigh next to nothing it seems.

I wish I would have weighed it. I should have just weighed myself with the trunk on my scale, then myself with the new trunk on the scale. Simple. But I had to be in too much of a hurry to get it installed I never even thought about weighing it Ah well, I know it's lighter than the trunk/wing combo so I'm happy about that. I can't speak for certain if it would be lighter than the regular oem lid or not, I would hope so, it felt pretty light to me.

Fitment looks almost perfect. Thats one of the reasons why I never got one b/c i see so many that looks like poo-poo. Did you put a nice clear coat on it so it won't fade from the sun?

The clear coat that came on was good enough I believe. In one spot it looked like the clear coat had rubbed off but it was just some hazing and light scratches that polished out. I ran my porter cable polisher over it with some Menzerna PO106FA and it came out very nice so obviously there was some clear coat left. I still want to try and get fitment a little better on the passenger side. I'm almost leary to mess with it though because it took a while to get it looking like it does
