So since they are powdercoated, they are going to stay that same beautiful color even when heat cycled at the track.

I don't think paint will hold up to that heat.

Well not only that, but there are other issues you'll encounter when you have your calipers painted. Now don't get me wrong, paint has it's place as I have a degree in Automotive Refinishing so I have absolutely nothing against paint........ just not for calipers.

Here is a set we had to fix for a customer, these were "painted" and were not disassembled as he was told it was "not necessary":

As you can see the seals and pistons have overspray:

The crossover is not removed, sanded, or taped off. Since there is no proper way to sand this, more than likely the paint will start to chip from this area as you can see:

These were media blasted but media was inside the calipers. Media + brake fluid =

Last pictures shows what happens when your calipers are painted and not disassembled. This happens if for any reason you need to separate them:

My newest color. House of Kolor Kameleon Red to Gold. It looks killer in the sunlight. Sorry about the crappy cell phone pics. I just ordered a DSLR so maybe finally I'll be able to get some decent pics soon.
