I am not sure if this has already been mentioned and if it is then im sorry but I am just wondering what kind of tubing the roll cage is made out of? That car is going to be a beast!

I have mad respect for AMS but 0 respect for whoever this customer is.

The car looks sweet and the work is nothing less than what I would expect from AMS.

 

^ someone is a bit jealous.... you seriously telling me that if you had a billion $$ you would cut out all the weight from your project drag car yourself? seriously? you would go and bend your own rollcage? pick your own engine? you get the idea... its a question of convenience. I mean... the labor isnt that much... its what - 8-10k? so for about 20K over the price of an evo you have a nasty drag evo... still less than going and buying a GTR outright...

the reason you dont have respect for the customer again? he isnt doing his own work? do you tune your own ecu? do you do everything for your car? never take her in? and besides ... how do you know the guy isnt in the shop 24/7?

lol... what if he was too busy to do all this cus he was a baller who was busy 24/7? i mean... he spends what time you do w/ your car on the stock market so he can have 10 cars like ours.... just my 2c... dont judge so quickly....

 

oh... and thats not gonna be a 8s car ... unless he gave them a lot more than 20K lol...

Awesome build indeed....what part of Texas will this dragster reside when it's done? I'd like to check it out at the track.

 

The guy Gabe has his own shop so I think its kind of funny that he is sending it to AMS instead of building it himself. But after the job he did to my Evo I can definitely see why he wouldnt trust himself doing this build lol. Also AMS is going to have to teach this guy how to get this car past the 10's lol

 

On, I believe, the first page, AMS said that 30k wouldn't even cover labor. Based on their prices and how many hours he said would probably go into it...it's looking like this will cost the guy around 50k in labor and I wouldn't be surprised if he spent at least that much more on everything else!

As far as the car and this thread go... Let's see more progress of this monster!
